Preparation + Integration

for Psychedelic Experiences

What is Psychedelic Assisted Therapy?

There is a growing body of research in support of the use of plant medicines + psychedelics for healing purposes. FDA clinical trials using MDMA-Assisted psychotherapy and Psilocybin-Assisted psychotherapy are showing great promise in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Treatment Resistant Depression and more. Ketamine-Assisted psychotherapy is now a legal option for people seeking relief from symptoms of trauma. There is also a long history in many cultures of using plant medicines to experience expanded state of consciousness and healing.

“Life is psychedelic. Integration is a lifestyle.”

— Lauren Taus

What is Preparation + Integration Coaching?

Whether you’re part of a clinical trial receiving psychedelic-assisted therapy, planning to attend a plant medicine retreat, or have had previous experiences with altered states of consciousness; integration is key.

Having a psychedelic experience can be the equivalent to many years of therapy in a few hours. How can you keep the gifts you receive in the journey alive in your daily life? This is the work of integration coaching. We will work together in a holistic way to bridge the gap from your experience into your routines + relationships. We’ll work together to integrate the insights + awareness into tangible tools.

A hallmark of a psychedelic experience is the ineffability of it. There often aren’t words to describe what happened. This is why taking an approach to integration that is informed by the body can be so beneficial. Somatic Experiencing is a great modality to use when integrating your experience.

Integration starts with Preparation.

Before you embark on a life-altering experience such as sitting with plant medicines + psychedelics, it can be incredibly beneficial to prepare yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and logistically. In preparation therapy sessions, we will explore the importance of and get clear about the set and setting for your journey. We will also spend time setting intentions for your experience.

What if you didn’t prepare for an experience and had a difficult trip? Or maybe you had a psychedelic experience many years ago but never processed what happened. Integration can still happen and can be incredibly beneficial in your perspective of the experience.
